| Likes: | Compact package crams in 300-horsepower, twin-turbo engine, delivers 0–60 mph in 5.1 seconds. Nice looks, great handling (with $1,000 sport package), good build quality, and reasonable price. Convertible version pretty. |
| Gripes: | Feels heavy. Rear seat as tight as Mini Clubman. Tacky metal dashboard trim, rubbery gearshift action. |
| Verdict: | Who needs the BMW 3-Series? Perfect track-day alternative to Mitsu Evo with less attention from cops and more comfort as a daily driver. |
