| Likes: | Subdued Lexus-style SUV, 260 hp V6 with 6-speed automatic is sufficient. Driver sits high for good visibility. Intuitive, simple dash controls, 3rd seat has actual foot room. Multiple safety factors include 6 airbags, active headrests, traction and stability control, electronic distribution brakes. Cool blue script on door sills at night, Good panel fit, surprisingly quiet at highway speeds. |
| Gripes: | Disappointing paint finish with much orange peel. Relatively thirsty – best mileage was 18 mpg. No Backup camera and limited rear visibility. |
| Verdict: | While Hyundai is to be applauded for its upmarket ambitions, the proof of this pudding is about 50,000 miles away. Until then, the jury’s out. |
