1966 Ferrari 275 GTB/C
Above 4,000 rpm you get the feeling that the GTB/C may really go after all, and at 5,000, the car tries to throw you out the back window

This immensely desirable and highly usable Ferrari 275 GTB/C is the third of only 12 such Berlinetta Competizione models produced by the world-famous Maranello factory, and is absolutely not to be confused with the normal, standard production GTB models.

Here was a purebred endurance-racing competition car whose fundamental bodyshape and basic technical specification were almost the only characteristics it shared in common with the production model it represented on the great race circuits of the world.

The car on offer here was signed off as complete on June 14, 1966, and the following day saw chassis 09027’s sale formalized, its first owner being Ferrari’s celebrated Belgian concessionaire Jacques Swaters, for use by his Ecurie Francorchamps team at Le Mans. The car was co-driven by the highly experienced northern French pairing of Pierre Noblet and Claude Dubois, finishing 10th overall that year.
