Bill Neill has toiled away for Sports Car Market since 1998, fixing spelling errors, taking out commas from one place and inserting them somewhere else. (According to Bill, the most commonly misspelled sports car name is “Miura.”) Since he’s better with a pencil than a screwdriver, you should never ask Bill to adjust the ignition points on your Bosch distributor, but he will be happy to help you to spell “Cromodora” and “Borrani” correctly. He has never owned a car with fewer than 100,000 miles; according to Bill, that’s about when they are just broken in.

His favorite convertible was a Fiat X1/9, which had plenty of headroom (but only with the roof off). Since he found out that two wheels cost less than four, he has accumulated several motorcycles, including a BMW that he has owned since the Reagan administration.
