Dan Kruse-Leake Car Auction Hits $2.3 Million in Sales

Leake Auction Company and Dan Kruse Classics wrapped up their San Antonio auction, held April 20-21, reaching $2.3 million in sales while selling 58 percent of the cars. The auction was held in Exposition Hall at the Freeman Coliseum. The top selling car was a 1968 Shelby GT500, selling for $126,500.
Other top selling cars were: a 1968 Shelby GT500 Mustang selling for $85,000, a 1956 Jaguar XK140 selling for $71,500 and a 1932 Ford Custom selling for $65,000.
Car enthusiasts had the opportunity to see a vast array of cars including Cadillacs, Corvettes, Camaros, Street Rods, Mustangs and other vintage, collector, muscle, high-performance and specialty vehicles. 251 lots were offered and a total of 145 lots were sold during the two-day auction.
“We team up with Dan Kruse Classics one time each year and the result is always a fun, fast-paced event. This one was no different,” said Richard Sevenoaks, president of Leake Auction Company. “Of course preparations are now underway for Leake’s biggest auction of the year in Tulsa, celebrating our 40th anniversary of selling cars. We have high expectations for our sale in June, as our sales’ team continues to consign top-notch vehicles each day.”
