The faster you drive, the smaller it feels. Loaded with techo-baubles. Champagne cooler between rear seats. A high-speed, hi-tech drawing room on wheels.


Front grille stolen from Lincoln parts bin, rest of styling not inspired. Slab sides prone to parking lot dings. Can’t get cool airline-style reclining seats in shortwheelbase 57 (available only on 62).


Both BMW and Mercedes just made up all-new cars to create in the ultra-luxury category. However, BMW got to call its car a Rolls-Royce, and gained instant heritage. Mercedes has to convince us that Maybach is more than a name yanked out of its archives.
