Price as Tested $32,400: 2.0-L Turbo Gas Direct Injection 4-cyl, 6-speed automatic, AWD with locking center differential, navigation, heated front seats, air-cooled driver's seat, auto-dimming rearview mirror, cargo cover, panoramic sunroof, heated outside mirrors

Rather sharply styled in its own jellybean way. Panoramic sunroof is a crowd-pleaser in the sun-deprived Pacific Northwest. Decent rear storage. Intuitive controls.

Driving dynamics are unremarkable but inoffensive. Looks okay in the parking lot today, but in a year it will be invisible.

Kia continues to ramp up the quality and challenge its competitors head-on. For a suburb-driving family hauler, this has a lot to recommend it, and our test car seemed very well equipped for its $32k price.
