Stunning £220,000 Spyker Aileron KC8 Spyder will get its UK debut at this year’s MPH show.

Completely hand-made at Coventry, Spyker’s £220,000 Aileron KC8 Spyder is powered by an Audi-sourced 4.2-litre V8 engine producing 400bhp, and is constructed with a strong, lightweight aluminium framework.

Bizarrely the new Spyker bears a latin inscription, just below the automatic folding hood: “Nulla Tenaci Invia Est Via”. According to the firm, the message is “For the tenacious, no road is impassable”.

Pictures also reveal that the car has sleek, dart-like lines complemented by a particularly low-profile hood and striking, rocket-style air intakes just ahead of the rear wheelarches. Dutch firm Spyker is claiming a top speed of 197mph and a 0-60mph time of just 4.5 seconds.

“This epic new vehicle provides everything that Spyker stands for, with unparalleled design partnered with ultra exclusivity,” claimed UK Brand Manager, Tommy Wareham. “We’re looking forward to premiering the Aileron C8 Spyder at the MPH Show, and are sure the visitors will be as in awe of the car’s overwhelming ability and craftsmanship as we are.”

MPH, The Prestige and Performance Motor Show, featuring Top Gear Live, will take place at Earls Court, London, from November 4-7 and at the NEC in Birmingham between November 11-14.
