The Ballroom at the Embassy Suites had been sold out for months with more vendors than ever, the economy was “weak” according to the press, so the only remaining question was attendees. The response was overwhelming, with the greatest number of visitors ever in the event’s six years. This led to a 51% increase in contributions to the Monterey County Rape Crisis Center, Automobilia Monterey’s charity of choice since day one.

Hard walls between aisles allowed vendors to display posters, signs, etc. and added to the “look” of the room. This year it took another quantum leap with displays more creative and dynamic.

Vendor’s enthusiastic reviews of the event include:

“…knowledgeable collectors are viewing this event as a must for the Monterey/Pebble Beach week… another reason why this week in Monterey is the “center of the universe” for the world car hobby.”

“…It was a terrific event and the folks at the Embassy Suites couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating.”

“…we had a steady flow and sales were very satisfactory. Altogether, an excellent year at Automobilia Monterey. I can’t think of a thing to change.”

On-premises professional pack-and-ship facilities contributed to the ease of doing business; a 40% increase in shipments is testimony to the advantage of this at-cost service.

Automobilia Monterey, having just celebrated its sixth anniversary, is THE event in the U.S. for serious collectors of original, vintage automotive collectibles.

Dates for 2009 have been announced: August 11 & 12, so mark your calendars.
