ESHER, SURREY, ENGLAND (October 13, 2009) – Barons is introducing a new Thoroughbred – Sports and Prestige or ‘Top Car’ division, for dedicated auctions of contemporary cars, removing cars less than 30 years old from its traditional Classic & Collectors’ Car sales.

For over ten years Barons has offered cars of all ages at its sales, but feedback from clients, both classic and contemporary, has encouraged the firm to create this new division.

As a consequence, classic car purists will be happy to learn that, from 2010, Barons’ classic sales will be exactly that. Those looking to buy or sell more contemporary sports cars or modern thoroughbred and prestige motor cars – a future classic, if you like – will find a wider selection at these new dedicated sales.

Barons already has an excellent track record for achieving strong prices for cars of all ages, and they hope this new specialist department, combined with an outstanding sale location at Sandown Park in Surrey and highly competitive rates, will attract vendors and buyers in good numbers.

Barons’ final sales of 2009 are on October 27 and the hugely popular Yuletide Special on December 8. The first Sports, Prestige & Thoroughbred sale is scheduled for March 23, 2010, with another on September 28, 2010. These dates coincide with the new car registration dates. The firm will also hold seven Classic sales next year, starting on February 8.
