??Barrett-Jackson Auction Company, organizer of The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions™, has engaged JMPR Public Relations to handle its national and international public relations outreach and media relations initiatives.

Held every January for the past 40 years, Barrett-Jackson conducts the world’s largest collector car auction and is looked to as a market barometer for the entire year, including industry trends such as vehicle popularity and values. Barrett-Jackson also holds major auctions in Palm Beach, Fla., Las Vegas, Nev. and Orange County, Calif.

JMPR will be primarily responsible for continuing to grow the Barrett-Jackson’s visibility within the national and international business, automotive and lifestyle media markets and to make key audiences aware of Barrett-Jackson’s offerings, from rare, high-end sports cars to one-of-a-kind classics. Phoenix, Ariz.-based UP Agency is handling local and regional public relations outreach for Barrett-Jackson’s Scottsdale auction.

“Barrett-Jackson is the market mover for the year,” states JMPR President Joe Molina. “This year will be especially exciting due to the new influx of high-end vehicles rolling across the block.”

Barrett-Jackson’s Scottsdale auction has seen a 55 percent increase in pre-sale tickets this year versus the same time period last year. The auction company is the largest of its kind with 2011 Scottsdale sales topping $70 million and an attendance of more than 250,000.
