The seventh annual Boca Raton Concours d’ Elegance presented by Mercedes-Benz USA and AutoNation is pleased to announce Keith Martin, Editor and Publisher of Sports Car Market, as Grand Marshal for this year’s event taking place February 22-24, 2013 at the Boca Raton Resort & Club in Boca Raton, FL. The three-day series of extravagant events benefits the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County.

Martin has been involved with the collector car hobby for more than 30 years. He founded the monthly Sports Car Market magazine 20 years ago, and it has developed into the authoritative informed voice of the collector car hobby. Martin has hosted numerous television specials, and as a commentator, MC and judge, he has been involved with Pebble Beach, Amelia Island, Meadow Brook and Concorso Italiano, among other events. He is the Chairman of the Meguiar’s Collector Car Person of the Year Award Committee, is on the Board of Trustees of the LeMay Museum and the Hagerty-founded Collectors Foundation, and has served on the faculty of the Collier Museum symposium on Connoisseurship.

Adding to the excitement of Martin’s participation, other heavy hitters in the automotive and Concours circuit will also be taking part in the seventh annual Boca Raton Concours d’ Elegance. Dr. Paul Sable will serve again this year as Chief Judge for the Sunday Concours. Automotive historian, author, overall car enthusiast and fervent collector, Dr. Sable is one of the founders of “The Elegance at Hershey” car event and has been a chief judge and advisor to a number of Concours since 1995. He is a frequent judge at a number of major Concours throughout the United States. Mike Jackson, Chairman and CEO of AutoNation and past President and CEO of Mercedes-Benz USA, will also serve again this year as Honorary Chair. Carl Bomstead, Senior Auction Analyst for Sports Car Market; David Schultz, President of Classic Car Club of America and Executive Director of the Glenmoor Gathering of Significant Automobiles; and Mark Gessler, Co-Founder and President of the Historic Vehicle Association (HVA) and Vice President of the Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens (FIVA), will serve as Honorary Judges for the Sunday Concours.

Additionally, this year the Boca Raton Concours d’ Elegance is pleased to feature world renowned automotive artist Charles Maher. Maher is a member of the Automotive Fine Art Society, and his work has appeared in AutoWeek, Road & Track, Automobile and Car Collector magazines. A Charles Maher original painting and commissioned piece will be auctioned off as part of the 2013 Boca Raton Concours.

Friday, February 22 kicks off the weekend of events with the duPont Registry Live Hangar Party at the Boca Raton Airport. The evening offers guests a chance to experience select gourmet tastings from more than 20 of South Florida’s finest restaurants and peruse a fine display of exotic cars, custom motorcycles, extravagant boats, private jets, vintage aircrafts, luxury motor coaches, premier vendors, and more.

New at this year’s Boca Raton Concours d’ Elegance Bonhams will be hosting a spectacular Automobile, Motorcycle, Memorabilia & Jewelry Auction to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County on Friday, February 22 and Saturday, February 23. One of the world’s oldest and largest auctioneers of fine art, classic and vintage automobiles and collectables, Bonhams are now established in 25 countries on five continents.

Saturday, February 23 features the black-tie optional Gala Dinner Auction & Show at the Boca Raton Resort & Club. Guests will enjoy a cocktail hour and silent auction, followed by a seated dinner and live auction featuring some of the first-in-the-country all new exotic cars, one-of-a-kind trips and experience packages, luxury jewelry, and more. Guests will also enjoy the presentation of the Automotive Lifetime Achievement Award to JM Family Enterprises, Inc. and Emerson Fittipaldi, and the Lee Iacocca Award to Steve Wolf, along with a stellar

Sunday, February 24 concludes the weekend of festivities with an Automobile & Motorcycle Exhibition that spans all eras on the newly-renovated and expanded showfield at the Boca Raton Resort & Club. Car and motorcycle fanatics from around the world will get to experience an automotive showcase like no other, featuring more than 200 of the finest collector cars and motorcycles from around the country. An expert panel of renowned judges including national known Chief Judge Dr. Paul Sable will select the finest vintage, antique, classic and exotic vehicles based on period, presentation and overall style, with an awards presentation to winning entries led by Grand Marshal Keith Martin.

Once the show kicks off, guests are invited to walk through a series of amazing vendor tents including the 2013 Boca Raton Concours d’ Elegance tent which will offer hats, t-shirts and commemorative Concours program magazines, posters and pins from previous years and this year.
