A unique collection of 23 Black Corvettes will cross the auction block at no reserve during the Mecum Bloomington Gold Auction, June 24-25, 2011, in St. Charles, Illinois.

The collection features at least one Corvette from 1954 to 1969, representing every year that black was available from the factory during that time period. From high horsepower models and Fuelies to coupes and convertibles, each Corvette is finished in the rarest and one of the most desirable colors available for America’s sports car.

Mecum will offer the Black Corvette Collection on Saturday, June 25, at Pheasant Run Resort.

The two-day auction is open to the general public. General admission is handled by Bloomington Gold, with tickets available at the gate for $20. Attendees are encouraged to pre-register to bid for the auction by visiting www.mecum.com or calling 815.568.8888.
