Bowling Green, KY – Over 3,000 people were in attendance throughout the Museum’s three day event – The 10th Annual Bash held, April 26-28. The event kicked off the Museum’s busy 2007 event season and offered an array of activities spanning from seminars by Corvette’s engineering and racing team members, to the unveiling of the new 2008 Corvette models.

An evening with NASCAR’s Rick Hendrick took place on Thursday, and offered a special night to mix and mingle and enjoy great food and company with Hendrick Motorsports team members as part of the special fundraiser orchestrated by Mr. Hendrick in support of the Museum’s Building Campaign. Friday’s festivities included a tribute to the Corvette Race Team for their significant 2006 race season accomplishments, a rollout of the 2008 model Corvette, celebrity choice car show, drag racing, quality clinic and an autograph session. On Saturday, guests in attendance enjoyed another full day of activities including seminars, road tour excursions, and a “Margaritaville” style banquet complete with dining and dancing. John Terpening was drawn as the winner of the 2007 Victory Red Convertible raffle that took place as part of the evening’s festivities.

The Bash is an exciting event that offers owners and enthusiasts an opportunity to meet and greet the designers, engineers and leaders involved in the new generation Corvette’s history and evolvement. The Bash event continues to be one of the Museum’s most highly attended events and also offers autocross, tours of the Museum and GM Corvette Assembly Plant and one-on-one time with engineers and designers who share the Corvette passion. Best described as a “Real Learning Experience”, the Bash is a “must-attend” event for any Corvette owner and enthusiast. The 2008 Bash event is scheduled for April 24-26 and registration will open in late fall.
