Yuma, AZ – Kruse International held the Dome Valley Museum Tractor Auction, all part of the Larry Weber Estate March 2, 3 & 4, 2007 in Yuma, Arizona. This auction was one of the world’s rarest and most desirable tractor and collectible auctions in history. Everything sold to the highest bidder regardless of price!

The auction was three full days with approximately 3,000 lots and 1,000 tractors. Dean Kruse, President of Kruse International states, “During my 50 years in the auction business I have never seen a collection like the Larry Weber Estate. This was the largest and best tractor auction in the world. I’m honored to have been a part of it.” Weber had a passion to collect an example of everything including steam engines, antique cars, model trains, tractors, trucks, cars, signs, tractor parts and his favorite the Massey Harris Tractors. Weber started collecting tractors in 1985 up until his death in 2005.

There were customers from all over the world in attendance for this once in a lifetime event. Kruse started preparing for this auction over a year ago with the word spreading quick. There were bidders from at least 17 different countries. The Dome Valley Museum drew thousands of visitors each winter to its 20 acres of property. The museum featured 3 main buildings with hundreds of pieces of farm equipment scattered throughout the property.

Weber had a very thorough collection that he acquired over many years. He was very proud of his collection. According to Randy Collins of Kruse International, the entire collection was expected to go for something around $3.5 million. The final sales total reached nearly $6 million dollars with the buyer’s premium. This is an auction that people will be talking about for many years to come. This auction was conducted for Larry Weber’s widow Pennie Weber.
