LeMay Museum Symposium Presents Seminar Series on Collecting Vehicles

Get inside the minds of car collecting experts with this seminar series

Tacoma, Wash. (June 2006) – Hagerty Collector Network and Sports Car Market magazine present the 2nd annual LeMay Museum Symposium, featuring the Smart Collecting seminar series at Kirkland Concours d’Elegance in Carillon Point, Wash, on September 8, 2006.

Located on the beautiful grounds of Carillon Point along the picturesque shore of Lake Washington, the Kirkland Concours will host approximately 80 of the finest automobiles from around the country. Held in conjunction with this event, the Smart Collecting seminar series will be of interest to anyone interested in car collecting.

The seminar includes these topics: “State of the Market” reveals market trends and direction; “Smart Collecting” shows how to buy what you love, not what’s hot; “Restoration vs. Conservation” offers tips on when you should restore a car and why; and “Preserving Your Investment” gives advice on maintaining, protecting and enhancing your investment.

Learn from industry experts Keith Martin, publisher of Sports Car Market magazine; McKeel Hagerty, CEO of Hagerty Collector Network; Glenn Mounger, chief judge of Kirkland Concours and board member of the National Automobile Museum; Peter Hageman, antique dealer and judge at car events including the Pebble Beach Concours; Miles Collier, artist, investor, philanthropist and noted authority on vintage automobiles; and Alan McEwan, past founder and director of the Pacific Northwest Region, Classic Car Club of America.

Event fee is $425 for Sport Car Market, Hagerty Collector Network and LeMay Museum current members and $475 for non-members.
