Hilton Head Island, SC – If you’re looking for a weekend full of fun and excitement for the entire family, be sure to mark your calendars for November 2-5 for the 5th annual Hilton Head Concours d’Elegance & Motoring Festival. Featuring the Cars of Indiana as the 2006 Honored Marque, this is an event that you won’t want to miss!
“We’ve made a strong effort this year to make the Concours an event not only for car enthusiasts but for anyone who is visiting or living in Hilton Head,” said Carolyn Vanagel, Executive Director of the Concours. “Along with the fantastic automobile exhibitions, we’ve added some great children’s events, art exhibits, food, and entertainment.”
Kicking off the weekend-long event is an extended Vintage Track Day to be held at Roebling Road Raceway in Bloomingdale, Georgia Thursday, November 2 – Friday, November 3 from 9:00am to 4:00pm. Vintage car racing, hot lap rides with certified drivers and appearances by Honored Drivers and racing legends Lyn St. James and Janet Guthrie are going to make this one of the most exciting events of the weekend.
The Concours d’Elegance main event will be held on Saturday and Sunday at the Coastal Discovery Museum’s Honey Horn Event Grounds and will be going on from 9:00am to 4:00pm. With events such as the Quest for Speed & Style exhibition, the Car Club Jamboree, the Kid’s Corner and the Classic & Collector Car Auction presented by The Worldwide Group with more than $10 million worth of inventory on the auction block, this year’s Concours truly has something for everyone.
Tickets for the Track Day events will only be available at the gate the day of the event at Roebling Road Raceway in Bloomingdale, GA. They are $15 for Thursday and $20 for Friday. Tickets for Saturday’s Concours event at Honey Horn are $20 and Sunday’s event tickets are $30. Two day passes are also available for the Saturday and Sunday events for $40. Locations include The Mall at Shelter Cove, Hilton Head Welcome Center, Holiday Inn Oceanfront, The Ice Cream Cone (at Coligny), Beachwalk Hotel, Hilton Garden Inn, Crescent Point Golf Club and RMC. Tickets will also be sold the day of at the event gates. Children under 12 get in free, ages 12-18 receive 50% off and military with Active Duty I.D. receive a 50% discount.
