A new award ceremony is scheduled for Monterey Car Week this year — for the best car among the top 2015 concours-winning cars.

Sir Michael Kadoorie, Christian Philippsen, Chip Conner and Bruce Meyer have created the Peninsula Classics Best of the Best Award.

The cars will be on display, and 23 judges will choose the winner at a private dinner on August 16, 2016. The winning car will be displayed at The Quail: A Motorsports Gathering on August 19.

The six finalists are:

A 1903 Mercedes 60HP Simplex, 2015 winner of the Royal Concours d’Elegance.

A 1932 Isotta Fraschini Tipo 8A S Sport Cabriolet, 2015 winner of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

A 1930 Cord L29 Brooks Stevens Speedster, 2015 winner of the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance.
