Clinton Township, MI — Katech Performance, drawing upon 30 years of unrivaled engine building expertise and more than 50 driver’s and manufacturer’s championships in the world’s most prestigious racing leagues, can add another notch to its win list following the stunning performance by driver Eitan Zidkilov in his race-prepared Katech Performance C6 Corvette at the Asia Supercar Challenge.

At the event, held recently in Sepang, Malaysia, Zidkilov, driving for Dyna Ten Motorsports, took the pole and a first place finish on day one and another first place finish on the second day of racing. His Katech Performance Corvette beat a field of Ferraris, and also recorded the fastest lap during the two-days of competition.

“We are always proud and excited when Katech-powered race cars score a win, but when it happens on the first and second events the car has ever competed in, that’s even more exciting,” said Jason Harding, salesman, Katech Performance. “This accomplishment points to the driving skills of Eitan and serves as one more example of the advanced technology, experienced personnel and racing heritage of Katech.”

Zidkilov’s Corvette was prepared entirely by Katech Performance, specifically for the Asia Supercar Challenge. While the car is actually a C6, it has a Z06 body with World Challenge front splitter, hood and wing; roll-cage; Katech’s “Track Attack LS7” engine; 6-speed racing gearbox; Moton Motorsport suspension; Brembo GTR brakes; HRE competition wheels and a Dailey 4 stage dry sump system.

The Asia Supercar Challenge (ASCC), organized by the Supercar Club Hong Kong, is widely recognized as one of the most popular racing events in South East Asia. For more information, visit www.supercarclub.com.
