TACOMA, WASHINGTON (May 12, 2009) – LeMay – America’s Car Museum® is pleased to announce the recent award of $4,800 provided by the Collectors Foundation of Traverse City, Michigan for the internship in the Collection Management department for Summer 2009.

Currently, LeMay has chosen Heath Goering as the Conservator Assistant. Goering, a student at McPherson College, Kansas, is expected to begin the internship late May 2009. The internship position provides a capstone learning opportunity which will allow him to work along side Conservator, Ryan Noble. The internship will include him in the assessment, preservation, conservation and restoration of the Museum’s collection.

David Madeira, President and CEO of LeMay— America’s Car Museum is pleased to have Goering as apart of the LeMay team. “We are grateful to the Collectors Foundation as they have been a great supporter of ours. Furthermore, we are pleased to be able to provide a student a great opportunity and foundation in the auto restoration field,” said Madeira.
