December 3, 2007. Troy, MI –The Meadow Brook Concours d’Elegance has appointed Mary Anne Parks of Troy as its Director of Marketing. She will be responsible for all promotional activities for the Concours, one of the most prestigious automobile events in the world. Her duties include relationship building for new and existing sponsors, as well as creating and implementing new ideas and events to fit those sponsors’ agendas.

The 30th Annual Meadow Brook Concours d’Elegance, a presentation of some of the most exotic and valuable vintage automobiles in the world, will take place Sunday, August 3, 2008 at Meadow Brook Hall on the grounds of Oakland University in Rochester Hills, Michigan

Parks brings over 15 years of marketing and public relations experience to the position. Her most recent assignment was with the Troy Chamber of Commerce as Director of Member Services where in addition to developing marketing and public relations programs for members she was responsible for developing and maintaining member relationships.

“The Meadow Brook Concours is an absolutely first class event,” said Parks. “We are so entrenched in the automotive business here that we tend to lose site of the fact that this industry has produced so many beautiful works of art, by so many talented people. I look forward to bringing that message to new audiences and to our local community as well.”

Features for the 2008 show, so far, are: Significant Ferraris, GM’s 100th Anniversary, 8 Litre Bentleys, Voisen, flying cars and historic motorcycles with sidecars.

Building on last year’s changes, the Concours will continue to add new and exciting events to the famed celebration of the power and beauty of the automobile. These events are called Destination d’Elegance and will include Italian themed wine and food tastings, seminars, a gala wine auction, Club Conours Bistro preview party to name a few.

Organizers will begin selling advance tickets for the 2008 Concours and its week long celebration event in the months to come. Go to www.meadowbrookconours.org for more information.
