Mecum Auctions has just consigned a 1960 Maserati Tipo 61/60 “Birdcage” originally built for racing legend Briggs Cunningham to their Monterey 2011 auction.

Steve Hart restored and prepared this car, which has received FIA approval. It will be offered as lot S151. Only 22 Maserati Tipo 60 and Tipo 61 Birdcages were built, and these cars are welcome at any vintage race.

Mecum at Monterey will be at the Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel and Spa, 1 Old Golf Course Road, Monterey, CA, 93940, from August 18 through 20. For more information, visit www.mecum.com.
