This 1967 Corvette L88 Roadster – one of only 20 produced and the earliest RPO-ordered L88 known to exist – was owned and raced by Tony DeLorenzo Jr., son of General Motors VP of public relations Anthony G. DeLorenzo. DeLorenzo drove the car to victory in its first race at Wilmont Hills, Wisc., and went on to finish second in the 1967 Daytona Beach SCCA runoffs. After a 1982 Canadian Road Race Championship, the L88 was retired from racing, restored and awarded Bloomington Gold and Top Flight NCRS honors. It will be sold at Mecum’s Monterey Auction with a copy of the original window sticker and a fully documented owner history.
