MARENGO, IL – The 11th Annual Mecum High Performance Auction returns to Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles on October 6,7, 8. Widely recognized as the World’s Largest Muscle Car auction, the event attracts hundreds of high-performance and collector cars from across the country. These include cars that are offered for sale at prices as low as a few thousand dollars to over one million dollars for a rare, one-of-a-kind, museum-quality historic vehicle. Over 700 cars are expected to cross the auction block, and the line up is phenomenal.

This year’s event will feature a grouping of very special Super-Duty Pontiacs owned and restored by Randy Williams, one of the most knowledgeable collectors of performance era Pontiacs in the nation. They include:

-1961 Ventura 389 Super Duty Drag Racer
-1963 Swiss Cheese Catalina
-1963 Super Duty Tempest “Union Park” Wagon
-1962 Catalina 421 Dual-Quad Factory Lightweight
-1963 Catalina 421 Super Duty 2-Door Sedan

And, as if that wasn’t enough excitement, the weekend’s line up also includes the 1965 Dodge “Yankee Peddler”, one of the first 11 “funny” cars built (one of only two in existence); the “Ault & James” 1962 409; the last Hemi Cuda ever built;
and the original Reynolds 1964 Fairlane Thunderbolt. From Corvettes & Cudas to Mustangs and Street Rods…they’ll be there!

We’re confident your audience would enjoy seeing these great cars. It’s like strolling through a great outdoor car museum. It’s great entertainment and everyone can participate! Come experience the excitement!
