The Hilton Head Island Motoring Festival & Concours d’Elegance, one of the nation’s largest and fastest-growing automotive and motorsports enthusiast event weeks, is ready to host a record number of special guests at the upcoming event. One of North America’s most respected collector car authorities will be on hand to steer memorable conversations and present awards on the HHIMF main stage.

Keith Martin, founder and publisher of Sports Car Market and American Car Collector magazines and co-host of Velocity Channel’s “What’s My Car Worth?,” will be joining the HHIMF Concours d’Elegance weekend as commentator and awards presenter.

Visitors can enjoy Martin’s interviews with HHIMF special guests such as Jaguar’s chief of design Ian Callum, former Ford design chief J Mays and motorsports legend Bobby Rahal, throughout the Saturday, November 1 Car Club Jamboree. On Sunday, November 2, Martin will continue the conversation with notable guests such as Honorary Chairman of the HHIMF Concours d’Elegance Edsel Ford, Pinnacle Award Winner Joe and Margie Cassini, and Honored Collector Bill and Christine Snyder. He will also serve as announcer for the Concours Awards Ceremony, taking place from 2 pm to 4 pm and culminating with the Best of Show, People’s Choice and the new Paul Doerring Award.

Martin has been involved with the collector car hobby for more than 30 years, as a writer, publisher, television commentator, expert panelist and enthusiast. He has served as a Master of Ceremonies at the world’s leading automotive events, from Pebble Beach to Meadow Brook Concours d’Elegance. Most recently he was a judge at the inaugural Chantilly Arts & Elegance, held in Chantilly, France.

Martin founded Sports Car Market magazine 26 years ago and built it into today’s authoritative voice of the collector car hobby. Martin’s newest publication, American Car Collector, is also one of the fastest growing collector car publications in America. In addition, he has written about collector cars for media outlets such as The New York Times.

Many HHIMF visitors will recognize Martin from the Velocity channel series “What’s My Car Worth,” which he co-hosts. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of the LeMay — America’s Car Museum.

“Keith is one of the most authoritative and original voices within the collector car community and we’re proud to have him participate again in this year’s event,” said Carolyn Vanagel, president of HHIMF. “We also very much appreciate Keith stepping in for our long-time announcer Ed Lucas who had an unforeseen conflict that prevented him from taking to the stage this year. We look forward to seeing Ed against next year.”
