MTV’S PIMP MY RIDE SETS UP SHOP AT G.A.S

VAN NUYS, CA (June 2006) – Galpin Auto Sports (G.A.S.), the all-inclusive design and customizing facility of Galpin Motors, will serve as the new garage for the upcoming season of MTV’s Pimp My Ride, which returns with fresh episodes beginning June 15th at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.

Host and rap-star Xzibit, and his cohort Mad Mike, return and are joined by Galpin Auto Sports’ President and Chief of Design, Beau Boeckmann and his team at G.A.S. for the all new season. Showcasing their talent for innovation and putting a new spin on customizing vehicles, together they transform classics and clunkers into some of the most inventive automotive masterpieces ever imagined.
“Our motto at G.A.S. is ‘If you can dream it, we can build it,’” says Boeckmann, who also serves as Vice President of Galpin Motors and was the recipient of the first Petersen Automotive Museum “Visionary” Award. “No matter what a customer is looking for we can deliver it all under the same roof.”
In addition to its multimedia audio and video showroom, G.A.S. offers a wide array of exterior paint designs and interiors, high-performance engine modifications, an amazing 200’ custom wheel wall, a special section for luxury and exotic vehicles, and any other automotive accessories available, as well as custom fabrication. Other exciting features include distinctive automotive memorabilia, trendy gear head apparel, model cars and books.

“If you want your vehicle to look cooler, play louder or perform better, G.A.S. is the place that provides it all. Galpin has demonstrated for over 50 years that it can conceptualize and fabricate any automotive idea,” says Boeckmann. It’s special Galpinizing® was first featured in Motor Trend in 1953. Galpin introduced sunroofs to American drivers and premiered the “Surfer” van concept, which single-handedly launched the conversion van industry. It also inaugurated the 4×4 truck craze when it introduced Galpinized trucks in the late 1960s.
