Highest sale for the event was 1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible that sold for $1,705,000

Russo and Steele Collector Automobiles, one of the nation’s premier collector car auctions, specializing in European sports cars, American muscle cars, hot rods and customs announced that their 11th Annual “Sports and Muscle in Scottsdale” auction event held January 19th -21st, 2011 has preliminary sales figures over $21,000,000.  Furthermore, Russo and Steele had a sales rate of just under 70%; currently, there are significant post sales that are being finalized and will be included in the final reports.

Scottsdale’s outcome exemplifies Russo and Steele’s status as a leading collector automobile auction event.  Drew Alcazar, CEO and co-owner of Russo and Steele was ecstatic when he commented “We knocked it clean out of the park and ripped the cover off the ball this year.  Everything from our seminar to the auction block was a tremendous success.”

Highlights of the 2011 Scottsdale auction were the sales of a 1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible that sold for $1,705,000, 1955 Mercedes Benz 300 SL Gullwing $704,000, a 1965 Shelby Cobra CSX 1001 $335,500, a 1970 Plymouth Cuda 440/6 4-spd $236,500, and the 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz $194,700.

The Scottsdale 2011 auction event, January 19-23, 2011, was held in the new Losberger structure at Russo and Steele’s traditional site; the intersection of the Loop 101 Freeway and Scottsdale Road, in North Scottsdale.
