Monterey Car Week is two months away, but the star cars are already stacking up. Here is a roundup of some early consignments:

RM has extended their Monterey sale to three days with the addition of a private collection referred to as “The Pinnacle Portfolio” (pictured). Cars in the collection range from a matching-numbers 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Alloy Gullwing to a 2012 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport. RM’s sale takes place August 13–15. Gooding & Company’s Pebble Beach auction takes place August 15–16. Significant lots include a 1988 Porsche 959 Komfort in special-ordered “paint-to-sample” triple-black (Gooding estimate: $1.6m–$1.8m) and a 1933 Delage D8 S cabriolet ($1.5m–$1.8m).
