The Jaguar XK Club has announced its next adventure – a fabulous 10-day tour of the Emerald Isle. In May 2007, over twenty classic XK 120s, 140s and 150s will journey through Southern Ireland experiencing the very best of the country’s scenery, culture and legendary hospitality.

Highlights of the tour will include the chance to visit many of Ireland’s most famous landmarks and the opportunity to enjoy its Celtic charm, whether it be by kissing the Blarney Stone, sampling some of the ‘Black Stuff’ in cosmopolitan Dublin or, perhaps, taking time to trace the ancestors at Trinity College.

The tour will stay at some of Ireland’s best 4 and 5 star accommodation throughout, including the Westin Hotel in the heart of Dublin, the Killarney Park Hotel and Ashford Castle, once home to the Guinness family, but more famous today for attracting guests from among Hollywood’s glitterati, such as Jack Nicholson and Pierce Brosnan.

Despite all this luxury and glamour, the breathtaking landscapes and scenery through which the cars will travel remain very much the stars of the tour. The routes will take the participants from the stunning coastal vistas of Ballycotton on Ireland’s southern shores to the Ring of Kerry, from the Beehive dwellings of the Dingle peninsular to the barren lunar landscape of the Burren, from the awe-inspiring cliffs of Moher to the wonderful Georgian facades of Dublin.

The Cream of Irish Tour has already attracted the support of the Irish Tourist Board, as well as participants from the UK, the USA, Australia and from across Europe. It is priced at £2850 per person, based on two people sharing a car.
