January 2017 Cover Poll

Our Art Director, David Tomaro, has created three possible cover concepts, and we’d like to know which one is your favorite. It should all take less than a minute, and your answers help determine the content of our magazine. Voting ends Sunday, November 20, at Midnight PST. If you have any additional thoughts about SCM, regarding either the print magazine or our electronic newsletter, please post them in the comments section below.

Ferrari 308 GT4s

  1. Um, GT4s already took off, in Europe at least. Five years back it was a ‘cheap’ Ferrari, down to £10k. Now £50k even for a shed – ahem, I mean a car ‘with needs’.

  2. Our local population of GT4s has recently doubled…The new owner told me he had to pay a pretty fair price (relatively speaking) for a very nice car.
The other one in town has long been a staple of local shows with plenty of Ferrari badging and garish prancing horse aftermarket floor mats…you know the type….still it’s a Ferrari with a Bertone design, thus worth of some respect. Still, if I were going to roll the dice on Ferrari ownership, I’d rather have a 328 GTS.

  3. The 308 GT/4 has already took off. It was once considered perhaps the least desirable and valuable Ferrari. Now it is an appreciated carbonated 308 and the extra seats are nice on a trip. It may have taken 35 years but is a much more appreciated car now.

  4. At this time I am waiting for Barrett Jackson to let me know if I made the list or not with my Dark Met Blue/Oyster 79 L-82 4sp that I am hoping to take. I feel that this might be a better year to buy than sale, but with this entry level driver I am hoping for solid numbers for this level. I have noticed as of late some of the big money names selling off collections, with not much talk of replacing so for a whole I think that would make it a better time to buy. I can tell you from what I have seen the entry level cars have still been posting some head scratching numbers. I hope that will continue with this little 79 L-82…
