Continuously variable transmission ekes every last available bit of power out of Ford’s Duratec V6; no chance of being pulled over by the authorities due to fuddy-duddy styling and anemic engine.
Driving dynamics even worse than Ford Five Hundred; ditto for the styling; 203 horsepower and a 4,100-pound curb weight mean this land barge can’t get out of its own way; how long is this thing anyway?
The blandness of every aspect of this S.U.V. could only have come from a Ford focus group, one that clearly couldn’t master basic laws of automotive proportion. I can’t quite remember the last time I needed to transport seven adults, but next time I do, calling for a second cab seems to make a lot more sense than buying one of these.
