A barn-find 1960 Facel Vega HK500 will cross the block at Lucky Collector Car Auction’s Spring Classic at the LeMay Marymount Event Center in Tacoma, WA, from May 14-15.

The Facel Vega HK500 has been in storage for decades and still runs, but it needs a complete restoration. The car is offered at no reserve.

Facel Vega HK500 cars are rare to the auction world, as only 500 were made from 1959-1961. SCM’s Platinum Database shows six auction sales since 2013. The current median price of the car is $157,500, and the high sale was $493,496. A partially restored car — much of it was in boxes — sold for $107,750 at Silverstone Birmingham on April 12, 2014. 1. What is so rare about this? One of 500? A barn find? I have a car that is one of one barn find, survivor, in running condition having been mechanically refreshed. It is also a California car numbers matching. So if one of these unrare cars brought over $100K in a box what is my car worth?
