SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA (JANUARY 22, 2010) – In response to the severe weather system that hit Arizona last night, and possible confusion due to the close proximity of other auction tent collapses to the Barrett-Jackson Auction Company event site, company executives would like to address the current state of the auction.

“Last night’s storms created a dangerous situation for collector car auctions throughout the Valley,” said Craig Jackson. “Several of our competitors experienced severe damage, but we understand that there were no serious injuries related to the destruction. We’re sending food to the damaged site today to help feed the workers cleaning up.”

During the storm last night protective measures were taken to ensure all guests were safely moved to the main auction tent, where the auction continued without interruption, and no consigned vehicles were damaged. Gates opened at 8 a.m. this morning, all consigned vehicles are on property with no plans of being removed from the grounds, and will cross the block on their originally designated time and date.
