1970 Ford Falcon GTHO Phase II
Sydney, AUS, October 5 – On Saturday 13th October at 2pm, Bonhams & Goodman will hold an auction of Collectors’ Motor Cars, Motor Cycles and Number Plates at new custom designed premises at 224 Young St, Waterloo, Sydney

The new spacious auction rooms provide ample parking facilities and are located just around the corner from the fashionable coffee shops and restaurants of Danks Street, Waterloo. The premises are the perfect facility for the display of cars and offer buyers much easier access for the collection of purchased lots.

The sale features many exciting lots for enthusiasts. Only a week after the 2007 round of the famous Bathurst 1000 race another Holden vs Ford battle is set to take place. Who will pay more for their car of choice? Will it be a Ford collector bidding on a 1970 Ford Falcon GTHO Phase II that has won the best un-restored example at five GT Nationals or a Holden fan battling to become the new custodian of an amazing example of the famous 1977 Holden Torana A9X Hatch GMP&A (on view in Perth) with only 475km from new?

Some interesting early cars also entered in the sale include a fully restored 1924 Vauxhall 30-98 Velox Tourer, a 1902 DeDion Bouton Rear Entrance Tonneau with a fascinating South Australian history and a 1905 Model F Ford. These cars are sure to attract huge levels of interest within the vintage and veteran motoring community both in Australia and overseas.

Also consigned is the right to display NSW numberplate ‘40’. This extremely important plate was issued c1910 to a prominent Sydney family and is believed to be the only numberplate still with the original owners (by descent). It has a pre-sale estimate of $230,000-330,000.
