The Spring Carlisle Collector Car Swap Meet & Corral kicks off the season on April 18-22. If you’re looking for automotive parts, accessories or memorabilia…you’ll find them and more in the 8,100 spaces on the Carlisle Fairground’s 82 acres. Come shop the Car Corral for more than 1,800 vehicles of all makes, models, conditions and prices, at this HUGE car enthusiast’s mecca! During the Spring and Fall events again this year, are the Collector Car Auctions held in the Carlisle Expo Center, just one block from the Carlisle Fairgrounds. The auctions offer a wide assortment of vehicles that span eight decades and include ’50s classics, ’60s muscle cars, a number of museum grade, nostalgic and on-of-a-kind cars and motorcycles.

In it’s second season, Carlisle Performance & Style will lead off the Carlisle Events calendar of specialty shows on May 4-6. P&S is an exciting event that will introduce the latest in all things hip, trick, dubbed, flipped, pimped and donked. Aftermarket tuning is becoming increasingly popular with enthusiasts of all ages. Come out and see show-quality compacts, modified trucks, SUVs and high-end luxury sedans, awesome tuner cars, resto-mod muscle cars, sleek sport bikes and much more. Highlights of this year’s event include Magazine Alley, featuring a building full of cars that have been featured on the pages of your favorite magazines. Cool Cars Hydraulic Show will bring some of the best hoppers in the country, custom compact builder Neil Tjin will exhibit some of his great cars, the ICE House offers a “cool” display of some of the greatest in-car entertainment around, a drift demo, a new Scion meet and some great contests including burnout, bikini and stereo competitions.

The Carlisle Import-Kit/Replicar Nationals, May 18-20 is always a crowd pleaser. This year the Carlisle’s import spotlight is on the Volvo. Carlisle Events’ 2007 season – add one
well-represented at the largest kit car gathering in America. All the big kit manufacturers will be displaying their newest products. Carlisle Events is negotiating for some exotic new European cars in the 2007 show and plan to bring you more excitement from the SCCA, club gatherings, seminars and lots more.

Another exciting Carlisle All-Ford Nationals will be held on June 1-3, 2007. This year’s Blue Oval meet will feature the 40th anniversary of the Mercury Cougar. Fans won’t want to miss this great display of some of the finest cars ever to come out of Detroit. Another must-see special exhibit is the Mustang convertible Feature Cars. Beginning in 1990, Ford produced a series of convertibles and marketed them as “Feature Cars.” These rare convertibles were green, red, triple-white and canary yellow. As always, the All-Ford Nat’s will include interesting seminars, unique exhibits and other exciting events such as burnout, dyno-testing and the ever-popular beauty contest.

The 2006 All-GM Nationals set some high standards for us to meet at the General’s 2007 show scheduled for June 22-24. This show is no longer on Father’s Day, but it’s still a great gift idea for Dad and the entire family. Carlisle will be taking you back to 1957 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the much-celebrated ’57 Chevy. The 1957 Chevy earned its reputation as a legend and one of the most popular vehicles ever produced. The planners are anticipating a HUGE celebration of these vehicles with both a special indoor invitational display and an enormous gathering of ‘57s on the showfield. Our 1957 celebration doesn’t stop with Chevrolet. All GM cars that were manufactured during that year will be featured in 2007. As always, the General promises an exciting weekend for all GM fans. The Carlisle All-Chrysler Nationals will host another spectacular three-day Mopar show, July 6-8, 2007. Wing cars and convertibles are on the center stage at Chrysler this year . The plan is to fill our display buildings with the finest examples of these vehicles found anywhere. The wing cars are legendary with Mopar fans. Built in 1969 and 1970 to compete in NASCAR, these cars dominated racing until they were banned after the 1970 season. Our goal is to have the largest gathering of these fabled wing cars ever. Convertibles will be the other featured vehicle in ‘07. Carlisle is looking for convertibles of all years and models. Make sure you’re there to see this awesome display of ragtops! DaimlerChrysler will again display concept vehicles and the latest developments in the company. Celebrity guests will be on hand to sign autographs and answer questions. Special show cars, seminars and exhibits will take place throughout the Chrysler weekend. Don’t miss DaimlerChrysler’s popular Test Drive area, where you can drive the new car of your dreams.

The 2007 Carlisle Summer Bike Fest, July 20-22, promises to be Carlisle Events’ best motorcycle event yet! Joining the thousands of bikes on the show field will be a HUGE swap meet area, special displays of unique motorcycles and noted industry celebrities and guests from the world of motorcycles. At the Aug. 3-5 Carlisle All-Truck Nationals, the truck enthusiast will find everything he or she needs from a huge manufacturers’ midway and swap meet to almost 2000 trucks, covering everything from lowered Mini’s to lifted 4 x 4s to working Big Rigs and classics. Other exciting features include the monster truck shows and rides and the rock crawl. Carlisle will continue with the popular truck pulls, frame dragging session and bring you some of the best trucks around in our invitational display. Burnouts, Bikini contest, Hydro, and High/Low competitions will take place throughout the weekend. Don’t miss the largest pure truck show in America.

On Aug. 24-26, don’t miss the world’s largest gathering of Corvettes. Corvettes at Carlisle will feature a 50th Anniversary Party for the ’57 Corvette. See 54 years of Corvettes and listen to Corvette execs tell you about what the future holds for the Corvette enthusiast. Annual events including the Chip Miller Memorial Corvette Parade through the streets of downtown Carlisle, a return of the popular burnouts, a huge showfield with thousands of Corvettes and tens of thousands of Corvette enthusiasts make this show a “one-of-kind” extravaganza.

The 34th annual Fall Carlisle Collector Car Swap Meet & Corral, October 3-7, completes the 2007 Carlisle show season. A sea of people are expected to attend and shop the 8,100 spaces filled with everything a car collector could ever want, plus 1,800 Car Corral spaces. Returning at both Spring and Fall this year, are the inaugural Collector Car Auctions held in the Carlisle Expo Center, one block from the Carlisle Fairgrounds. The Fall Collector Car Auction will take place October 5-6. The auction offers a wide assortment of vehicles covering all eras, genres, models and types including stocks, customized, hard-to-find and one-off cars, trucks and motorcycles.
