HOUSTON, TEXAS (April 28, 2009) – Vintage icons, rare and exotic hand-built sports cars, Hot Rods and full-out racing machines, take the floor of Reliant Stadium on Sunday, June 14 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the Sixth Annual Classy Chassis Concours d’Elegance benefiting Shriners Hospitals for Children™ – Houston. This world-class automotive event will feature more than 100 unique and rare classics, many of which are from private collections around the world. The 2009 Classy Chassis™ Concours d’Elegance will feature two marques – Ferrari and Packard.

“As we enter our sixth year, we are pleased that Classy Chassis has continued to grow to become one of the country’s premier concours events and the only show of this magnitude in the region. What makes the event even more rewarding is that all net proceeds benefit Shriners Hospitals for Children™ – Houston,” said Clay Becker, Chairman of Classy Chassis Concours d’Elegance.

“Shriners Hospitals for Children is thrilled to be a part of Classy Chassis Concours d’Elegance,” said Ralph J. Reynolds, Sr., Chairman, Board of Governors for Shriners Hospitals for Children – Houston. “Having the opportunity to partner with such a world-class Houston event will allow us to share our story with many more people and potentially help even more children with orthopedic conditions.”

Classy Chassis Concours d’Elegance is honored again to have Jim Simpson from Whidbey Island, Washington serve as chief judge of the concours event, leading a team of experts in the selection of class and special award winners. Cars will be judged according to French Concours standards (“judging light”) and the all important, coveted “Best in Show” award will be given out at day’s end along with first, second and third places in each class, with a number of additional special awards.
