Houston, TX. February 6, 2008 –- Vintage American and European icons, rare and exotic hand-built sports cars, Hot Rods and full-out racing machines, take the floor of Reliant Stadium in Houston on Sunday, June 8 for the Fifth Anniversary of the Classy Chassis™, a premier concours event benefiting United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Houston. This world-class automotive event will feature more than 100 unique and rare classics, many of which are from private collections around the world. Past years lineups have included a 1925 Type 35A Bugatti, 1930 Rolls-Royce Phantom II Brewster Town Car, 1952 Cadillac Ghia Coupe, 1961 Ferrari 250 SWB Berlinetta, 1962 Chaparral 2E, 1964 Shelby Cobra and last year’s Best Of Show Winner, a 1938 Peugeot Darlmat Roadster.

The featured marque of the 2008 Classy Chassis™ is Bugatti, one of the world’s most beloved and storied automotive icons. A world-class collection of vintage Bugattis will be on display as well as the current production Bugatti Veyron 16.4. A combination of high-powered performance and sleek, racy design, the Veyron is manufactured in the new Atelier in Molsheim, Alsace, France.

Classy Chassis™ is honored once again to have Jim Simpson from Whidbey Island, Washington, serve as chief judge of the concours event, leading a team of experts in the selection of class and special award winners. Cars will be judged according to French Concours standards (“judging light”) and by attendees’ popular vote, the Peoples’ Choice Award. The event will showcase vintage automobiles and modern-day super cars manufactured from 1900 to the present, including American and European icons, sports car classes, vintage and modern day race cars, muscle cars, exotics and others. Baccarat trophies will be awarded for first, second and third places in each class, with a number of additional special awards.

Car enthusiasts of all ages will enjoy Classy Chassis™ – from live music to children’s activities, the event provides entertainment for everyone. Ticket prices are $20 for adults, $7 for children ages 6 through 12, and children age five and under are free. Tickets can be purchased in advance at Ticketmaster or at the gate on the day of the event. Guests purchasing a raffle ticket have the opportunity to win a 2008 Mercedes-Benz.
