The Leake Collector Car Show & Auction, home-based in Tulsa, OK,  wrapped up another outstanding auction this past weekend, reaching  $6.7 million in sales and selling 58 percent of the cars. The auction was held in Dallas Market Hall, November 16-18. The top selling car was a 2006 Ferrari F430 Spider F1 at $130,000, plus the buyer’s premium.

Other top selling cars were:  a 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible at $96,000, a 2008 Shelby GT500 Super Snake at $90,000, a 1957 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster for $87,000 and a 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS at $82,500, plus the buyer’s premium.

Crowds eagerly gathered each day to see the line-up of vehicles as they crossed the two-lane auction block. From muscle, sport and specialty vehicles to pre-war classics, attendees enjoyed seeing vehicles that spanned automotive history. 565 vehicles were offered and a total of 328 vehicles were sold during the three-day auction.

Gas Monkey Garage and the crew from the hit TV series Fast N Loud on Discovery were also on hand to film a new episode and sell their popular t-shirts.

“We are very happy with the results of this sale,” stated Richard Sevenoaks, president of Leake Auction Company. “Jimmy Leake started the Dallas auction with 250 pre-war cars. Now, Ty Young my son-in-law and the third generation of the family, is on board consigning muscle cars and working with the reality shows like Fast N Loud. The evolution of the business is exciting, and we have enjoyed the past 40 years.”
