Although Ford’s GT supercar is just out, the automaker hasn’t wasted any time in thinking, What next? The answer might be this Shelby GR-1 concept. Using a modified Ford GT chassis but with an entirely different front-engine setup, the GR-1 has a 6.4-liter, 605-hp V10 underhood with the GT’s rear-mounted 6-speed manual transmission. Ford says top speed is electronically limited to 200 mph, with 0-60 in less than 4 seconds, and the weight distribution is improved over the GT. Out on the show floor, the concept’s polished aluminum body panels looked classy and different.
