Under the Detroit show lights, Porsche officially took the wraps off its new 911 Cabriolet and Carrera S Cabriolet models. Cabriolets include extras like six onboard airbags and an automatic-deployment rollbar system, plus an upgraded sound system and the company’s Porsche Stability Management (PSM) system, while the Carrera S Cabrio adds the even more sophisticated Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) system. In Carrera S form, the Cabrio can get to 60 mph in well under five seconds. The new Cabriolet’s top can open or close while the car is moving at up to 31 mph. The Cabriolet has a 325-hp, 3.6-liter flat six, while the Carrera S has a 355-hp, 3.8-liter version. The new Cabriolets will be available later this year.
