Due to ‘force majeure’, Bonhams (Europe) has postponed its Howling Horses sale in Paris, originally planned for 13th February 2005, which will now be held alongside the traditional Les Grandes Marques sale in Monte Carlo on 16th May 2005.
The principal reason for the postponement of the Howling Horses sale is the difficulty Bonhams has recently encountered in obtaining the relevant permits from the French authorities, and the conditions they sought to impose on Bonhams and its clients.
Bonhams will nonetheless be present in Paris and will be displaying many of the cars to be offered in Monaco, including the entire Beltoise collection, at the Cirque d’Hiver in Paris on 13th February 2005, where they will hold a champagne brunch for clients and press alike (11am-6pm).
Bonhams will also have a stand at the Retromobile show where the lead cars for Les Grandes Marques à Monaco and the Goodwood Festival of Speed sale will be unveiled to the collecting world for the first time, not to mention an announcement regarding Bonhams future plans for France…
