The Transmission Expo, the trade fair which accompanies the CTI Symposium Innovative Automotive Transmissions, is set to be 50% bigger than last year’s. 2005 saw 50 companies attend, but 77 have already booked their stand for the trade fair at the Berlin Maritim Hotel on 5 and 6 December 2006.

From manufacturers to component developers, all divisions will be represented at the 1,000 sq m Transmission Expo site, including transmissions developers such as GIF, Magna, Ricardo and Torotrak, as well as providers such as Federal Mogul, AVL, Victrex, Bosch and FSG Automotive.

65% of all exhibitors come from Germany, the rest from Europe, including Electricfil Automotive, a French specialist in sensor technology, and Graziano Trasmissioni from Italy. Other exhibitors include MIBA from Austria, Saint-Gobain and DuPont from Belgium and Global Insight from the UK. Switzerland, the Netherlands and Israel are also represented.

Several exhibitors will be presenting papers at the congress, including Drivetrain Innovations, TRUMPF Laser- und Systemtechnik, Diehl Metall Schmiedetechnik, teamtechnik, Hottinger Baldwin Messtechnik and Schaeffler KG.
