SACRAMENTO PORSCHE 356 CLUB RETURNS TO BLUES IN THE PARK
Attendees will vote for 2nd Annual People’s Choice Best of Show Award.

Fair Oaks, CA — In Summer of 1949 the newly re-built German factories rolled out the first mass-produced Porsche 356. For the next 17 years, over 78,000 356’s left the factory floor to join their enthusiastic owners around the world. Now known as one of the five most important and significant automobiles next to the Model-T and the Mini-Cooper, the Porsche 356s are loved by their owners and envied by everyone else.

On Saturday, June 17, 2006, at Fair Oaks Park, everyone else has a chance to admire these sexy engineering marvels at Blues in the Park: The Fair Oaks Blues & More Festival. “This is Blues in the Park’s seventh year, and our second year with the Porsche show,” said Matson Breakey, coordinator of the event. “We had such a great response from the owners and the fans last year, I knew we had to make it an annual part of this event, and we are especially grateful to the Sacramento 356 Club for helping to coordinate the show!”

The car show will run from Noon – 5pm and will include a People’s Choice Best of Show Award to be presented before Zakiya Hooker, daughter of John Lee Hooker, hits the stage at 7:00 pm.

The Sacramento 356 Club, started in 1983 by 4 local enthusiasts, now comprises over 300 members from all over the Central Valley and Northern California.
