The 7th Annual Scarsdale Concours d’Elegance took place on Sunday October 17th, raising money for local charities, including Scarsdale Historical Society, the Scarsdale Teen Center and the Scarsdale Volunteer Fire Department.  The show to date has raised over $150,000 over seven years.

Showcasing 130 vintage collector cars on display in the village, this year’s exhibition of vintage autos was the largest the event’s seven-year history.

Award winning cars included Best in Show – 1928 Vauxhall Hurlingham Speedster, Most Exciting Car – 1961 Ferrari 250 SWB and Most Unique – 1974 Pink Lamborghini Espada. A full list of winners is below.

The Scarsdale Concours d’Elegance was created by Evan Cygler and Denis O’Leary III in 2003 when they were high school students in an effort to create a place to showcase unique cars–both new and vintage—and to raise funds for area charities.  Lucas Meyer, Ralph Della Cava, Gordan Rafajac and Bill Doescher have also joined the Concours as Board Members this year.

“We are thrilled for the community support and attendance that helped us raise $35,000 for local charities,” said Co-Founder Evan Cygler.  “Helping people indulge their passions for vintage cars is an honor.”

Sponsors included White Plains Jaguar, Miller MotorCars, Chubb Collector Car Insurance, Royal Touch Auto Spa, Engel & Völkers, Cadillac, Pepé Auto Group, GPNY and Monticello Motor Club.

The 2011 Scarsdale Concours d’Elegance is scheduled for October 2011.
