1957 Ferrari 335 Sport Scaglietti Sells for $35.9m at Artcurial Paris

Artcurial Motorcars sold a 1957 Ferrari 335 Sport Scaglietti for €32,075,200 ($35,930,639) at their Retromobile auction on Friday, February 5. In euros, the 335 is the most expensive car ever sold at auction.

In dollars, the most expensive car is a 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO that sold at Bonhams’ August 2014 Carmel sale for $38,115,000 (€28,501,458).

    A lot of these cars are being put purely as investments by people who have no interest in cars

    I felt pretty good when I bought 0674 from John “Buck” Fulp for $2000 in May, 1969 and sold it to Bob Dusek for $4375 several months later. Who would have have guessed about this kind of price back then.
