Many have probably seen the announcement of the special offer for Alfa owners. So far more than 75 owners have registered their Alfas at Concorso Italiano—with more coming. The owners’ response to the restored Concorso Italiano is tremendous. Not only will we be having a special ceremony to honor Jay Leno with the Concorso Hall of Fame award, we are also having as our special guests Lilli Bertone and Bertone designer Michael Robinson. Keith Martin, long–time Alfa owner, publisher of Sports Car Market, industry expert, author of numerous books, and Master of Ceremonies at Concorso, has made a special offer. Sports Car Market magazine will be presenting “Best of Tipo” Awards at Concorso this August. Sports Car Market started out as the Alfa Romeo Market Letter, and Keith has owned Alfas for more than 40 years. As a part of Keith’s returning to emcee at Concorso Italiano, SCM has created a series of awards called “Best of Tipo.” There will be awards for Tipo 750, 101, 105, 115, and 116 cars.
There is also a BONUS! Each of the first 100 Alfa Romeos to register before July 25 for Concorso will receive a copy of Keith Martin on Collecting Alfa Romeo, and Keith will personally sign every copy that day at Concorso.
The awards ceremony and the book signing will be held in the Alfa hospitality tent during the lunch break.
And let’s not forget that Alfa Romeo hospitality tent where we are serving free pastries, bottled water, and hot coffee in the morning, and snack and fruit during the day. There is also a myriad of delicious food and beverage options available in the Concorso Food Court.
We are looking for rare Bertone special bodied Alfa Romeos built from 1955 – 1966 as candidates for the Concorso Centerpiece Display.
