Normal, IL June 22, 2007–David Burroughs, CEO of Bloomington Gold, has declared the 2007 Bloomington Gold Corvettes USA show a success. In a letter to the staff he indicates that we achieved the vision that was set back in 2004 to re-build our show to world class status matching the 1992 event, which has remained the benchmark for 15 years.
Many of our guests agree. The Bloomington Gold office has received numerous e mails this week. Here are some of the comments.
“I attended this year for the first time ever. I want you to know that I had an absolutely fabulous time.”
“First, I’d like to thank you folks for putting together a fantastic show! I enjoyed every minute of it. Everything ran like a well oiled machine, and I can’t say enough good things about he experience. You all did a terrific job each and every day! Thank you, and keep up the good work! I look forward to 2008.”
“I have to extend my congratulations for all the hard work of the BG staff. I attended the Saturday events, my 4th visit, and what a great event it is!! Beautiful surroundings, clean, organized, and lots to do. Really, really a great show and we’ll see you next year.”
“I drove my ’71 for six hours to your show and it was worth every minute of travel time and gas. Great show, you need to give a big thank you to all the staff and helpers. They were friendly and helpful, which made the experience that much more enjoyable.”
“I sent an e mail on Friday that said I was not going to be at the Saturday Awards ceremony. My plans changed yet again and I was able to make the Saturday awards presentation. I am very glad I made the second trip to Chicago. Thanks again for a great Corvette event.”
“Thank you all very much again for making this such a successful and memorable launch for Corvette Market. Everything went incredibly well from our standpoint. We go to a large number of events and few have the combination of hospitality, efficiency and fun that you pack into Bloomington Gold. It is really amazing the way literally EVERYONE seems to be personally invested in ensuring that every attendee has an experience that is as good as it can be.”
We wish to thank everyone who came through the gates to share some time with us. We saw groups of people throughout the golf course sitting with friends, relaxing and chatting. In this busy world, it was a welcome sight.
We have already held post-show meetings to begin planning for 2008. Stay tuned.
