Be part of the largest gathering of XKs ever at XK60
Calling all XKs! An extensive search is underway for classic Jaguar XKs in the build-up to next year’s XK60 celebrations at Goodwood Circuit and Cowdray Park (8-10 August, 2008). The International Jaguar XK Club is calling on all owners to make a pilgrimage to the home of historic British motor racing, to be part of the largest meeting of these breathtaking cars, ever! The target is to achieve a gathering of 600 original XK120s, 140s and 150s
to celebrate their 60th birthday!
The high-profile XK celebrations are a fantastic opportunity for XK owners to become part of their car’s history and XK Club Founder, Philip Porter, is keen to emphasis just
how exciting the project is, “We have never seen such a large number of XKs congregated in one place before. We will also have the finest collection of historic XKs
ever, with significant cars coming over from round the World. C-types and D-types were XKs and they will be included of course. I cannot overs tress how amazing it will
all be – the most spectacular Jaguar event ever.”
Porter goes on to say, that the initial response to his call for XK owners has been phenomenal, “We already have cars attending from America, Australia, South Africa,
Canada, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, Holland, Scandinavia and, of course, the UK. We have two full days of track action, parades, demonstrations, hospitality, XK-workshops, competitions planned, plus events for XK-engined cars such as the E-type and MK II, a major Jaguar auction and celebrity guests. We can’t wait for the party to begin!”
