Announcing the inaugural Concours d’Elegance of Texas
Houston, Texas. July 18th, 2011— America’s fourth biggest city is set to play host to what promises to become one of the nation’s foremost collector car gatherings. Organizers of the Concours d’Elegance of Texas have confirmed that its inaugural event will launch in the spring of 2012, at Houston’s elegant La Torretta Lake Resort & Spa on the expansive shores of beautiful Lake Conroe. With Lolly Bezy, former Executive Director of the Meadowbrook Concours d’Elegance at the wheel, the Concours d’Elegance of Texas will offer the serious enthusiast an upscale venue at a world-class facility, right in the heart of one of the country’s most significant collector car markets.
“Texas is home to many of the more notable automobile collections and there has long been a need for a premier Concours event here in the state,” said Lolly Bezy, Executive Director. “We are delighted to have established long-term agreements with La Torretta Lake Resort & Spa as our host venue, and with reputed auction company, Worldwide Auctioneers, to present The Houston Classic Auction as an integral part of the weekend. We look forward to welcoming some of the world’s greatest motorcars through our gates and to fast establishing the Concours d’Elegance of Texas as one of the most significant events on the calendar.”
