A 1954 Chevrolet Corvette roadster was high sale at $96,800 at Leake’s Dallas Spring auction from April 15-17 at Dallas Market Hall. A total of 497 lots crossed Leake’s two-lane auction block, and 59 percent of them sold. “This was a busy weekend for the collector car auction world,” said Richard Sevenoaks, president of Leake Auction Company. “In addition to our auction, there were two additional auctions taking place, which split our seller and buyer base. Despite this split, we had a solid auction. There were cars that outperformed our estimates and expectations.”
